Day 1
The tour begins with a transer from the Airport – Sofia to a three
stars hotel. Sightseeing tour of Sofia (walking and with bus).
Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 2
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure for Melnik /the smallest town
in Bulgaria-360 km./. On the way – sightseeing of Rislki monastery
(one of Europe's largets monasteries and located in some of Bulgaria's
most beautiful terrain. It is situated at the end of a winding
road through high rock walls in a soft, green wood), lunch. In
the town of Melnik – observation of the Rock pyramides, visit
of Rozhen monastery /10 km. from Melnik/, put up in a three stars
hotel. Wine-tasting of Melnik wines and folklore program in the
winery of the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 3
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure for the town of Plovdiv (the
second largest city in Bulgaria). On the way – travel by the Bansko
mountain resort, sightseeinng of the center, lunch. In Plovdiv
– sightseeing tour of the Old town, free time, dinner and overnight
in a three stars hotel.
Day 4
Breakfast in the hotel. Travel south for the town of Kardzhali
(the most sunny town in Bulgaria-120 km.) It is the main town
in the Eastern Rhodopi region. Visit of cultural, historical,
archeological and religious complex of Perperikon – 18 km. from
Kardzhali, lunch and vizit of Museum of History in the town of
Kardzhali, put up at a three stars hotel on Kardzhali artificial
lake board, one hour boat walk in the lake, dinner in swimming
tavern /freshwater fish specialties/ and overnight in the hotel.
Day 5
Breakfast in the hotel. Travel north for Kazanlak – the main town
in The Tracian Valley /150 km./. Visit of: „Iskra“ museum and
„The Big Kosmatka“ tomb around Kazanlak, lunch in Kransko hanche
tavern, climb north over the Shipka pass, visit of open-air Ethnographical
Museum of Etara /a recreation of a typical 19th century village/.
Proceed on to Gabrovo – the funniest town of Bulgaria – visit
of House of humour and satire, dinner and overnight in a three
stars hotel.
Day 6
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure for the town of Veliko Tarnovo
via the village of Bojentzi /have a little rest for a coffee with
white jam/, visit of architectural complex of Arbanassi – village
lunch, sightseeing tour of Veliko Tarnovo, dinner in a restaurant
near the hotel and overnight in a three stars hotel.
Day 7
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure west for Sofia. On the way sightseeing
of Troyan monastery and Oreshaka, lunch in the town of Troyan.
Proceed to Sofia – put up in a three stars hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 8
Breakfast in the hotel. Free time with possibility for a shopping
tour. Lunch. Transfer to Sofia airport. Departure from Bulgaria.
