| Museum of History in the town of Kardzhali
It is situated in an unique building (architectural monument
of culture) and wonderful park with over 30 plant kinds.
The exposition halls of the museum are on 3 floors and include
the sections “Archaeology” (from the Neolithic till the
Bulgarian Middle Ages), “Nature” (patterns of the animated
and unanimated nature of the Eastern Rhodopi Mountain),
“History of Bulgaria XV-XIX century” and “Ethnography”.
The whole exposition area is about 1300 sq.m. The exhibited
cultural values in her are gathered since half a century
and are arranged with lots of mastery, love and professionality
of the museum specialist.
Complex of Ethnography in the town of Zlatograd
Situated in the old part of the city, among the suburb of
architectural monuments of culture, visited all year round.
Represents the biggest compact architecture reservation
in the Rhodopes. Traditional houses impress with its whiteness
and round chimneys, with special combination of architectural
elements with demonstration of traditional labour skill
and innovations in their exhibition. Only there exists an
unique museum collection, dedicated to the educational work
in Middle Rhodopes and to the post activity. Folklore is
specially distinguished in its variety.
Paskalev's home in Ivaylovgrad
The architecture of the Paskalev's home is from the end
of XIX century. The ethnographic collection is located in
a traditional rural house, perched on the hilltop, close
to the picturesque small centre of Ivaylovgrad. A beautiful
view over the town is expanding from the house. There were
the main rooms on the first floor, on the second was situated
the hall, called „feya“, where the owners met there guests
and celebrated there holidays. The second floor was used
also for the breeding of the silk-worms.
