AUGUSTA SPA hotel

Hissar health resort is located
in the centre of Bulgaria, in the southern folds of
Sredna Gora mountain, 360 metres above the sea-level,
40 km North from Plovdiv and 180 km East from the capital
Sofia. The small town was one of the favourite residences
of the Roman Emperor Diocletianus within the province
of Thracia. It was a place of healing mineral springs
and sweet-smelling gardens, named after the ruler –
Diocletianopolis. Unlike the other Roman towns, Diocletianopolis
was a town of entertainment. It was used for relax,
pleasures and amusements – things that the Romans possessed
perfectly.
Nowadays Hissar has 22 mineral springs with temperatures
ranging from 37 to 51 degrees C. Their water has a low
mineral level, hydrogen carbonate-sulfate, chlorine
and sodium, fluorine-silicic, alkaline. It is without
colour or smell and has a pleasant taste. Hissar mineral
water can be used both as table water and for prevention
of: gastro-intestinal tract diseases; nephrolithiasis
and nephro-urological diseases; cholelithiasis; locomotory
system diseases; gynecological diseases; dental diseases
and prevention of dental caries; chronic intoxication
with heavy metals and pharmaceutical substances.
Augusta SPA hotel works all year round and it offers
the opportunity to combine the recreation with balneological
therapy. The hotel is suitable for vacations and relaxation
close to nature, as well as for congresses, conferences,
business meetings and trips.

SPA Hotel Hissar is located into the southeast part of the resort, in one of the most beautiful and ecological parks of the town. It is the biggest centre for rehabilitation and beautification in Bulgaria.
Accomodation: 17 studios, 4 apartments, 70 double rooms, 11 bedrooms, 3 single rooms and 2 rooms for disabled clients. All rooms are equipped with: bathrooms with mineral water, bath-tubs, hair drier, central air-conditioning, mini-bar, cable TV and telephone.
